Terry Wilder, APRN
Terry joined the Board of Directors in June 2025 following his retirement from a distinguished career as a Nurse Practitioner at the Orlando Immunology Center (OIC), where he served for nearly two decades. Widely respected for his clinical expertise and deeply compassionate care, Terry remains beloved by patients and colleagues alike for his unwavering commitment to holistic and evidence-based treatment.
Terry earned his Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) degree from the University of South Florida in 1998, where he also developed an innovative educational intervention for HIV-infected and affected adolescents. Throughout his career, he has been a strong advocate for education, teaching and precepting other healthcare professionals across Florida on HIV, Hepatitis, STDs, and Primary Care.
Before his time at OIC, Terry spent nine years at Tampa General Healthcare’s Hillsborough County Clinic, where he held several leadership roles, including serving as a preceptor for infectious disease fellows and nursing students. At OIC, he played a pivotal role in developing comprehensive medical evaluations for people living with HIV and contributed to clinical research as a sub-investigator.
Terry is a certified HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). His decades of service and advocacy continue to inform and inspire his work as a dedicated board member.
