In a bold move, the Orlando Immunology Center, better known as OIC (oicorlando.com), announces the formation of a new, independent nonprofit organization, named OIC Inspired, Inc. Designed with a broad mission in mind, OIC Inspired will increase access to comprehensive care, with some services provided regardless of patients' ability to pay. Patients will experience a more holistic approach, with services that will include an on-site pharmacy with delivery, labs, case management, care navigator, and more, all designed to better meet our community's social and medical needs.
OIC will continue offering our local community cutting-edge research, including participation in experimental cures for HIV, hepatitis, and other viral infections. Their current physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and support staff will continue to provide the care within the new nonprofit clinic model being offered by OIC Inspired. Existing and new patients will benefit from additional services, greater community healthcare access, all at a single same location with their trusted clinical excellence that has defined the OIC clinic for decades. OIC has approximately 50 employees, and under the new model, the workforce will increase by about 20 additional staff members during the first year.
